Question In channel Visor problems

So I recently purchased the Putco in channel visors for my 07 Hummer H3 and before purchase, like always, I researched and found that many people had problems installing them and the front windows hitting them. Well I just installed the complete set and installation was a breeze. BUT....... I don't have a problem with the front windows, actually the rear windows are hitting the visor and will not go up all the way unless I push on the outside of the window. Any suggestions or solutions.

[QUOTE=ozark1;292103]Best Solution....return them and buy WeatherTech...[/QUOTE

why does everyone think weather tech is the best solution? from experience they are definitely NOT the best solution... I have had weather tech visors blow off and crack. best solution to weather tech is putco and I am just looking for the solution to have them fit properly and not replace them with another brand. the brand isn't the issue, rather tips to install. but thanks for your reply.

What about using a file to slightly ramp the area on the visor where the window first hits it?

Softening the visor with a heat gun and opening up the angle of the flange in that area a bit might work too.

Push in on the window like you said you have to. Keep the window rolled up for a week that way the visor is really able to conform to the frame. Then try again. Also I have read that the putco visors for the rear are mislabeled and the right actually goes on the left and vise versa.

thanks guys for the input. I installed the about 3 days ago and haven't rolled the windows down since, but its been cold and today is supposed to be high of 65..... in January.... so after a little direct sunlight and a little warmer weather I will give it a try. and I didnt see markings for left or right but they didn't seem to fit right the otherway so I think...am pretty sure I have them in the right sides. I think I may do the file trick as well even if they don't hit just becuz that sounds like a good idea either way. again thanks so much.
