That can be scary ****. If my wife and I had kids, I don't know how I would act. I always said that if I had a daughter, I would never let her out of my sight.
The way the world is today, you can't be too carefull. There's a lot of nut jobs out there.[:@]

or even if you don't, to an extent. blogs, message boards, and other things can collect a fair amount of information about you as well. i suppose that auto forums aren't much risk for any actual harm, other than worst case somebody tracking you down to key your car.

At work we have a sort of log or whatever you'd call it that everybody uses to post updates on projects and things, and for some reason or other my home computer is run through the server at work for security relating to that. So i have the same IP from home as work, or IPs, i think there are two of them.

I think about it sometimes when i post here or surf there - about how computer illiterate i really am and how easy of a target i'd probably be for somebody wanting to raise mayhem. The fact that i'm not famous or all that important is probably my saving grace.

 

but seriously, dilo, i'm glad you posted this.

i'm too old to attract internet stalkers, but i have to buy every firewall known to man and make sure i don't get hacked and the like.

 

I just had a talk with my 13 year old son about that after I had found out that he had a my space account. He doesn't have the account anymore and I'm monitoring his computer. I am going to have him read this. Thanks for the good info.
