Default Can I integrate Bluetooth into a '06 H3 Monsoon system?

We dropped OnStar service. Is there a kit around that integrates Bluetooth into the OEM system so we could use the mic and speakers?

"We dropped OnStar service"

did u have bluetooth b4?

did it stop working with onstar dropped??

i use bluetooth, factory, in my 2010 after pulling the onstar antenna and it is still ok.
i assume it is a separate item,as listed in the "spec sheet" for my h3.

if it dies when on* expires i will sue gm!!

blue should not need on*

Not to worry drtom. H3's came with bluetooth starting in '09, and it's completely independent of OnStar

Hi the gm bluetooth will keep working after you cancel onstar. Factory GM Bluetooth and onstar are in the same box the [vcim]. SedonaBoundH3 truck is a 2006 it never came with bluetooth so the bluestar 2010 unit will give him bluetooth in his truck using the factory mic and speakers without cutting wires or anything. You just unplug the 2 plugs on the vcim and plug them into the bluestar 2010 pair the phone with the unit. Then it uses the onstar buttons and steering wheel buttons to make calls or from the phone itself.

if you can find the VCIM out of a 09 or newer H3 you can get blue tooth that way also, but GM won't sell you one. Ebay or junk yard might be a source.

06 model doesn't have BT. We cancelled OnStar...too much $$ for too little use. I should have done long ago.

Looks like a nice solution but at near $300, it's expensive for adding only BT. I think my best solution will be to just replace my old GPS unit with a new one that has Bluetooth. I'm looking at several under $200 during the Xmas specials. Or I may even replace the head unit with a NAV unit with BT. Pioneer AVIC basic unit can be had for under $500.
