Default Calling all Hummer H1 Experts how bad is this damage?

Found a 2002 Hummer H1 with a salvage title.
It has been in a front end collision and I can't see the reason why the insurance company would classify it as salvage.

Or is this damage worse than it looks?

The hood looks to be a little high. unless it has a body lift on it, the sling load hooks are not sticking out of the hood far enough. the frame might be bent up in a rainbow shape. from the picture thats the only thing i can see that is weird. might want to crawl under it and make sure the frame horns are straight and that the fame looks generally flat. if it does have a body lift, and everything looks good....you might have found a great deal. buy a local mechanic lunch and a case of beer of his choice to come take a look at it for you. lol

The reason for the hood looking a little high is that it is not properly closed, might take a trip to have a look at it in person

H1s have a pretty weak hydro form frame. Make sure none of the cross members above the front dif aren't broke or bent and the frame seams are good

Not enough pictures or information to say. From what I can see there is no reason the truck would have been totaled. Has anyone done any work to the truck since it was totaled?

You gotta watch if the frame rails pulled together or if there are any creases. The two front cross members right above the front did is the main place I would be looking.
