Cabin air filter
Hey all, I went to NAPA the other day to get a set of filters for the H2. I can't seem to find the cabin air filter which the counterperson says is behind the glove box. Can someone shed some light on this for me. Thanks

NAPA is the worst for selling crap to people they don't need... I don't think any H2's produced in 2003+ have it.... I think some made in late 2002 have them... mine does not and it has an 01/03 build date...

BTW... if you did have a model that has one...
remove the large curved plastic under the dash on the passenger side.
Locate the 3 bolts that hold the glove box on... locate the middle one...
there will be a blank approx 1.5 inches wide....
since you don't have one... you will see the bosses where one could be tapped in...

Since I don't have a clue as to where you are talking about, my guess is I do not have one. I've taken the glove box door and the plastic piece on the bottom for sound control off to replace the blower motor and can see no place big enough to accept the filter. The blank that are refering to, is in the plastic?

I will take a picture for you tomorrow.... a picture will clear it up for you, 100%
I would say that unless you have a 2003 made in 2002 then there is no chance you have one... although some Chevy/GMC owners have cut the slot out and added their own.

Thanks for taking the time to post a pic. Mine looks exactly like the picture and no way in hell is the filter that I have going to fit in there. I'll bet the one they gave me is about the size of a sheet of paper.
So it appears the filter goes on the pressure side of the fan, I would have guessed it to be on the inlet side. Dawg you've been a big help, thanks.
