Larry there is ALOT of info out there on them, what are you looking to do with it? Daily driver? Hunting expedition rig? Bling it out? The interior changed in 08/09 from the previous years 03-07 and alot of the members seem to feel that 07 was the best year for H2s...

For me it seems the 03-07s are the best, but that's just personal opinion. As someone who's owned a couple, and have friends who have them, I'm just diggin the 6.0, supercharge it and you've got a transmission destroying, tow monster!

Thanks for the reply. I am wanting it for a daily driver (light off roading). I do like the round vent style.Maybe get some aggresive tires for it and chrome. I was wondering about the drive train -the transmision mainly is the 4 speed stronger or more reliable. Is there areas that rust quickly on them. I am looking for things to consider so I dont impulse buy just because I love the trucks looks.

Larry, I had a 2003 and 2005 H2. Both were great vehicles with no drive train issues at all. Being in SoCal rust was not an issue here, not sure how well they did in other parts of the country.

Not to ***** your thread Larry, but i am also new to HummerForums and do have a few questions before i purchase a H2. Many of my friends that i spoke to laughed at the fact that i am even considering a hummer, but the hell with them. I work hard for my money and i believe i can blow it off on whatever i choose. Also, i KBB the 08 h2 that i am currently looking at.. best condition rates the vehicle a bit over $45k. Price i am being offered as of now is $35k odometer reads 16k. I definitely have to say when i drove my father in law h2, DAAAMNN!! i felt like the KING of the roads!! lol but like Larry, i do not want to make an impulse buy. I need to do homework on the h2 and hopefully will be able to get a few questions that i currently have answered.

Why the H2?
What were/are the WOW factors that made you get a H2?
How much is the average yrly maintanence on these bad boys?
What do you know of are regular problems that H2 encounters?
Im sure i will have more questions as this thread continues so i will ask as they arise.
