Broke Down in GA
Was heading up from Naples, FL to the Atlanta, GA area to pick up a trailer. Around Valdosta the beast starts swaying from the rear. As I'm coasting onto the shoulder I smell burning rubber. Rear tires deflated. Tried to inflate but both were hissing air from holes and I only carry one spare.
Don't know what caused it but have a few ideas. Anyhow, got hold of Hummer roadside assistance and had a flat bed there a few hours later. I pulled completely off the shoulder for safety, into the soft grass and mud on the side. It had been raining.
The flat bed finally shows up and I drive the truck up onto it and then get comfy dry in the tow truck cab. Well, the tow truck got stuck in the mud. You know what's coming next...
Yes, I back off the flat bed, move in front of it, we hook up and I pull it onto the pavement on the shoulder. Then we repeat the previous and we're on our way to the nearest GM dealership.
That was Friday evening. Dead in the water until Monday morning. New tires ordered Monday AM, arrive Tuesday AM, complications (seized parts, removal and reinstallation of run flats) and I won't get out of here until tomorrow (Wednesday).
Two Super Swampers ruined beyond repair, two new "military" tires going on, five day unplanned vacation in Valdosta, GA, and a $2000+ repair bill looming. But I'll have a nice new m105A ( if I remember the model number right) soon.

Wow, Bongo!!
Chalk one up for the H1 heroic performance!!
If I didn't have such a recent experience with a tow, maybe it would be a little more humorous. :-(
I spent almost 3 hrs waiting for a tow last night after my L rear hub apparently went out. Luckily, I won't have any 'unplanned' vacations and I found what I think will be a good H1 tech with experience.
