Brake Pad Part Number?
Gang,
I am looking to get some front and rear brake pads. Does anyone have the GM p/n for the front and rear sets for the 2006? I couldn't seem to find any web sites with clear and consistent info for the H3 brakes. For example,
Any guidance / assistance with the H3 brakes would be appreciated.

Accelerometer, hummer h3, with active brake 06-07 $271.04 $0.00 $193.11

What the heck is active brake? Isn't $193 a bit steep for a set of pads?

RE: Brake Pad Part Number?
Thanks Doc for the link http://media.gm.com/ca/gm/en/vehicle...nhancem_en.htm and aftermarket part numbers.
My 2006 auto has StabiliTrak whereas my coworkers 2006 manual does not. (Of course, we both have Traction Control.) So, are the pads different between those with StabiliTrak and those without StabiliTrak? If so, we have two different part numbers like the Hummer-Parts.com is seeming to indicate. Is StabiliTrak on the front wheels or all?
To confuse things, GM Parts Direct and the Advance Auto Parts numbers are only listing a single set of numbers per axle (with no reference to active braking). GM Parts Direct is showing the front set as more expensive, and Advance Auto Parts is showing the rear set more expensive. If the pads were nearly identical between front and rear, you'd expect the price to be nearly identical. If StabiliTrak was only on one axle, then you'd expect the price to be higher for that set.
If you look at the HUMMER H3 Service Manual (p. 5-68 and 5-69), front and rear are definitely different. The front appear larger (than the rear) with retaining pins, shims, and clips. Bigger and more pieces -- you'd think the front should be more expensive.
Ahhhhhhh.........
Any one know if GM embosses the part number on the brake pad assembly?

RE: Brake Pad Part Number?
The active brake system is all four corners, with StabiliTrack equipped H3s. Guess my memory is not as rusty as I thought?
I would NEVER buy brake pads thru GM dealers, that's just a hose job in the wallet. Go with good quality OEM replacement type pads from your favoriteauto parts. In your case I guess you would be alright over the net and have them shipped to you? All the after market parts I checked do not distinguish between the 06/07 with or w/o the stabiliTrack, so I'm guessing that is GM being **** on the part number assignments?
