Bose Interface
I just bought my 05 H2 a couple weeks ago and the cd player icon is flashing at me and the player wont load cds. The paint is also rubbed off the buttons so I want to replace it with an aftermarket unit. I dont know what I need to buy so that my Bose will work with it. The CD player has a built in 6 disk changer.
I also have onstar but i dont care if it works or not. I acutally want to remove it and put my dvd player for the headrests in its spot. Can I just unplug my onstar without running into any problems? Thanks for the help

You're best bet is going to be to get an aftermarket wiring harness. I just did a swap on my H3 and used the Axxess by Metra with great results. Using the aftermarket harness will make it a ton easier to replace the head unit, and also make sure you keep your door chimes, onstar, bose system, etc.
To figure out what adapter you need I would figure out which head unit you want, and then go to a website like crutchfield, select your vehicle, then the head unit, and it will tell you what installation gear you're going to need to get the job done right.
