Default Black Rims, New Tires

Hey guys, its time to upgrade!!! Finally saved up the extra cash to do rims and tires. I'm looking at the Nitto trail grapplers (37/12.5/r17 time to go bigger) but I just cant find off-road rims I like. So I was thinking about instead of buying all new rims just powder coating my stock chrome rims flat black. any recommendations? is powder coating a set of rims expensive?

Powdercoating can throw the balance off if the PC isn't done correctly. Not to mention even though PC for the most part is pretty durable it can be chipped. I prepped and painted mine Dupli Color low gloss black engine enamel. That way if they get chipped from rocks or whatever it is an easy touch up in the garage.

Those came out great LoJack, mine are starting to flake on the inside. :/ How did you prep it? on a side note what do you think of these?

Those aren't bad at all. I would love new wheels all together but I just can't find anything that I like. Everything out there is too flashy for me but those you posted would look pretty good. Not flashy, plain but stout.

For prep all I used was a 3m red pad to scuff the surface of everything. Honestly I didn't do much scuffing, just hit every inch of the rims, primered them then did 2-3 coats of the engine enamel.

Ya I'm just worried because I haven't hurd anything about the brand "Pro Comp".

On a good note I picked up my tires today. 4- 37/12.5/R17, the guy put them on his truck but wanted to go bigger so they have less then 1000 miles. He was asking $1500. but i got him down to $1150

They just barley fit!!

Pro Comp has been in the suspension game for years and years and are pretty well known. Many prefer them over Rancho kits for other vehicles. I personally have never been a fan of their lift kits. I don't know how long they've been in the rim business though. Honestly a wheel like that would be hard to get wrong unless the materials used are complete junk.
