Default Big SQ stereo install! PICS!!!!

Hello all, this is my first post and I have only had my H3 for about a month now. Its my first Hummer and I love it! I have been in car audio professionally for 7 years and have only recently moved on to a different form of business. So this will be my first full build since I have left the business, here we go! (pictures to follow soon)

2006 Hummer H3 full SQ system...

-Excessive Amperage High Output Alternator
-Kinetic HC1800 battery
-Kinetic HC600 battery
-(2) 39 square ft. bulk packs of Hush Mat
-Alpine INA-W910 head unit
-Alpine PXA-H701 processor
-Audison LRx 2.4 2 channel amplifier
-Audison LRx 2.9 2 channel amplifier
-Audison LRx 1.2K mono block amplifier
-Hertz Mille MLK 2 6.5" component speakers
-(4) Hertz HX 300 12" subwoofers

I will be bi-amping the MLK 2's with the LRx 2.9 and 2.4amps, and the 4 HX 300's will be in a 7.12 gross cubic ft box tuned to 38 HZ.

Laid out the amps and crossovers to see what it will all look like before i build the rack mounts. Aren't those crossovers gorgeous?

Very nice man. What's the specs on the alternator? I've been needing one for my build. Pics would be cool too =]

I have had not so go luck with EE, personally I would look into Mechman, Powermaster/XS Power or even Ohio Gen. Just my 2 cents

Build looks great. Audison/Hertz/Conection make great products. Port area seems a bit small but then again, I spent my years mostly around DB Drags Bass Race & IASCA Bass Boxing. I would have expected it to be tuned slightly lower also for SQ. Look forward to seeing the finished results. I got a bunch of stuff I want to do with the H3 (audio wise) but I have took a little break from CA and been into trail riding and off roading lately. Once the H3 gets built up, I will start on the sound system. Unfortunately with all the gear in my H3, there won't be enough room for what I am used to.

I will say I'm not entirely happy with the stock stereo in the H3/H3t. Worst reception of any car stereo I've ever had, I thought there was maybe a bad antenna connection on my H3, but my H3t is the same. However, with a good clear station the stock H3 Monsoon stereo was great to me. As loud, clear, and thumping as I'd ever want. The T is a bit lacking in the bass due to no subwoofer. I'd consider an upgraded head unit for more features such as mp3 or blue tooth, and I'd like to get a small subwoofer installed in the T.

I'll give you props for what appears to be the start of a nice quality job, but filling the back with a huge speaker box just seems like useless overkill and a waste of space. If that's what you're into, go for it and enjoy. Maybe I'm getting too old, but I just don't get it.
