BGF 315/75/16 TA KO in snow?
My H3 (non adventure) currently have BF goodrich TA KO all terrain tires size 315/75/16. They look really nice and aggressive but I was wondering if they will hold up in the snow. I am planning to go snowboarding in Big Bear, Ca.

Are all terrain tires considered as snow tires? or snow tires are completely different? Thanks for your help. I called BF goodrich customer service but they put on hold for 25 mins. I hung up.

BFg's are very good tire, there tread pattern has been around for awhile. Remember AT's are designed to cope withvarious terrains. Check this out so can sleep better at night.

BFG's are not bad on the snow... Personally I feel the larger the lugs the more stuff you can move...
Big Bear does get ugly at times though. When I was stationed in SoCal they wouldn't let us up there with a 4x4 with 40's...

I am running these on my '03 H2. As long as the terrain is not to steep they are great. A couple of times My wife has done a 180 in the drive and wound up back in the street due to the large footprint acting like snowshoes! The H2 doesn't have an off swith for traction control and the abs/tc brakes the spinning wheel, preventing the spin needed to clear the treads/get down to the hard stuff. Both times we had 10-14" of new snow and our driveway is a steep uphill and paved. The H2 is heavy, but the large footprint of the 315's doesn't compact the snow enough to stick together. Do the angle/compacted depth/truck weight, it shears....and traction is lost. I have tried AWD(normal), 4wh, 4wl, 4wl w/diff lock and (1st, 2nd and Drive) but in the deep stuff on a hard surface at high incline the AT's aren't enough.
I am looking at a set of MT's not sure which ones yet. I have 2 complete sets of wheels, so I would have a summer and a winter set.
It would be nice to be able to turn off the TC!
