BFG A/T 305/70R16 on stock rims rubbing...
I have a2007 H3 Base model with a front leveling kit even front to back. I had BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO 305/70R16 installed on my stock rims. The inside front of the tires rubon the tubular metal bar when I turn the wheel all the way right or left. It has left an obvious black mark.
I want to keep my new tires mountedon my stock rims.
Would wheel spacers resolve this issue?
If so what is the minimum size and where do I purchase such an item?

Hey, the truck looks good. You may have helped me with my next tire purchase, though I'm not putting on the leveling kit unless necessary to fit the tires. [/align]

you can go with a small spacer with no problems.....bigger rigs than the h3 have been running them for years. If you get a spacer plate just make sure you have enough lug threads left to get through the lug nut. If you go with a one inch or more spacer get the kind that the spacer mounts to the hub using the original lug nuts ...bolts on like a rim...then the spacer itself has it's own set of lug bolts..I'm using a set of these from spyder in the Jeep.

Thats a good looking setup, but can you add some more pics from the front or rear and how about a full on side shot? Just getting our H3 tonight and been trying to decide tire size & brand, etc.
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks to everyone for the quick replies and information.
I definitely want to stop the rubbing it annoys me and scares the crap out of any passengers.
I constantly hear " [sm=WTFsgign.gif]was that?"
By the end of the day I find myself checking the tires to see if the inner lugs have torn off.
SteveO - Thanks. I believe that the 305/70R16 are 33" tall and 12.2" wide
tnd2 - Here you go...
importkiller - Excellent information. Any advice on the best place to look for price and quality?
alrock - Glad I could help.
LesC. - Thanks for pointing out the white letters.
Now I'm going to have to black them out. [:@]
hilljob26 - Thanks for thecomment on the turning radius. I was wondering about that.
Sewie - Thanks for naming the tubular metal thing for me.
I almost didn't post thisfor lack of knowing what it was calledand decided a picturewould be better than any description I could think of.

Your 285/75r16 should be 32.8x11.2, and the 305/70r16 should be 32.8x12.0 mathematically(had to use spell check for that one) anyway. The real size could be diffrent and only determined by a tape
