Default Better gas mileage after leveling?!

It sounds crazy but I'm getting the best mileage I've ever had since I bought it over a year ago after cranking the torsion bar up to 23.5" ...i could barely get 325 miles to a tank before, now the light doesn't even come on till I hit 325. its a solid 1mpg increase. I didn't replace the shocks or install extended bump stops yet either. I'm still very happy with the ride as well, obviously slightly stiffer but in certain conditions better. I was getting this bad bump steer at highway speeds around sweeping curves...if I hit a nice bump in the curve it seemed like the front end bounced off the ground and would make me jerk the steering wheel. It also seemed to bounce around on rough roads, like I felt the body taking the bumps more than the suspension. I brought it in for that problem and they thought I was being paranoid. So they aligned it and recommended new tires which i purchased. Made it ride significantly better but still had that crazy bump steer under certain conditions. After leveling it that went away, I now feel the suspension absorbing the bumps in the road. I'm gonna try some extended bump stops first, then some bilsteins down the road and I'm expecting to have the nicest ride ive ever had. plus it looks awesome too! I really couldn't be happier and it only cost me $74.95 to get it aligned.

Are you on stock 265 tires?

I leveled and went to 285 all terrains and mileage went from 310ish to under 270 (on about 20 gallons). City driving though...no highway...

I'm still on stock 265 and I'm getting 340 to 360 miles per tank and that's before my light comes on. I do mostly Hwy miles and cruise at about 60 to 65 avg. Some things I did do was air up the tires to 40... Air down to 30 on sand... could go lower but my air sensor will complain.

I have an 06 adventure with 285/75/16 kumho all-terrains. that mileage is alot of highway(with hills) but it seemed no matter how I drove I couldn't get better than 15 mpg about 305-320 miles a tank on 20.5g. which I was happy with, but now I'm getting a solid 16 mpg. 330-340 mile range. I keep it around 2000rpm and under 70mph. I always thought my mileage should of been better, maybe I could of been getting 17 if it was dialed in better at stock height. something must of been dialed in wrong the last time it was aligned. It was 3/4" lower on the driver side before leveling.

Oh well didn't buy it for the fuel efficiency.
