While I still have my 2006 H3 Adv/Lux, I picked up a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Call of Duty MW3, which is a Rubicon. Offroad it rocks, onroad it is not as refined as the H3. Thinner metal, light doors (geared for removal), shorter wheelbase so a bit rougher of a ride. But I have to say, I really like it all in all.

Loud Pipes; I believe the wheelbase of an H3 is 111.9" which is shorter vs the Wrangler 4dr @ 116". The difference in ride quality is most likely attributed to the H3s IFS front suspension vs the Wrangler solid axle.

With similar equipment (front and rear locker, superlow t-case gearing, etc.) they are both extremely capable OffRoad. One is just so much more comfortable on and OffRoad. We did the "Jeep thing" and still have one, but it hurts after a full day of wheeling. Unlike the HUMMER.

Tainter, you are absolutely right. (I had to look it up, couldn't believe it ) Never suspected that the JKU has a longer wheelbase. The IFS makes all the difference in the world, for sure. Thanks for setting me straight!

We are just sitting a little higher up is why makes me think "BIGGER" which is usually longer... I didn't know either. We do have a pretty tight turning radius.

Wow, sounds like they are better than I ever gave them credit for.
