Its been 4 years and my battery has tested poorly and now its time to replace it. What do you guys recomend? I have a serious sound system in my car and lights dim when the bass hits. It claims to support sound systems.
I dont know much about batteries..

 

regardless of the ad hype and mfgr. its amp hours. they all support sound, according to amp hours. the bigger the better.
the cap? figger this; a one farad cap would run a 100 watt amp,,,for one second!! it fills the gaps and there really arent any since a good batt is thousands of farads. the cap MIGHT make up for a tiny instantaneous volt drop in your amps wires,,,might.

i buy the biggest batt that will fit. ive also listened to guys with more experience than me say the super batts are not really any better than a good new brand name.
bottom line ,walmart sells a lot of batts and therefore,always fresh,,someone said here.

I bought the Optima Red Top Battery for my H3 two years ago, did a little battery box top trimming and haven't touch it since. Purchased a Red Top 8 years ago for my Jeep Grand Cherokee and have never had problem with it.

 

I also have a red top. when my battery died the closest place had a limited supply for the H3 so the red top was about $20 more which i felt was worth it. Trimming on the battery box took about 15 mins
