Battery Problems
HI,
I have a 2003 Hummer H2. Having replaced the battery 5 months ago I started noticing that it was sometimes hard to start. As the battery was under warranty I had it replaced. The very next day I had the same problem and realised that the battery may not be the problem. Having read some posts on here, not as a member, I put a meter between the Pos battery lead and Pos terminal and found that I had current being drawn by 5 fuses whilst the engine was off. TBC BATT, IPC/DIC, HVAC/ECAS, RADIO and RADIO AMP. I tried leaving them out but realised that the engine will not start with TBC BATT left out. I have also noticed today that I am hearing high revs at about 70 - 80 KPH before the automatic gearbox changes up. Could this be something to do with the electrical fault?
Can anyone help as I am currently serving in the Middle East where a good mechanic is hard to come by.
Many thanks in advance
