Am relatively new to the H2 line. We bought our 05 H2 about 6 months ago and the back up camera, back up sensors, and front sensors all worked. The front sensors died out quickly and the back sensors and camera went out at the same time. The camera actually works, just not getting power. Questions...

What would the power supply to the camera be? I am thinking 12VDC, but don't want to hook up the wrong power supply voltage to test the camera. Don't care about frying the camera, they are cheap. I don't want to fry the radio/sound system where the camera sends the image to.

Are these systems typically aftermarket or factory? Wiring looks to be aftermarket.
Who ever installed the system put the control module for the sensors in what I am guessing is the air intake area... on the side just as you open the hood. Kind of a dumb place for some electronics to go. Any ideas why it would go there?

Is the power for the back up camera connected to the rear sensor? I ask this because they failed at the same time.

Any ideas will be appreciated. I may just remove it all and buy a new system.

 

Got my problems resolved. Turns out they were aftermarket installs on both the camera and front and back parking sensors. Front sensors had a small toggle switch under the dashboard that was turned off and the back sensors and camera received their power from a vampire clip attached to the reverse light. The vampire clip failed. PIA tracing down wires w/o schematic, but between my wife and me, we got everything up and running.
