Sorry for my lack of knowledge and if some of these are not supposed to be asked in this way:

1. Does the H3 have DANA44 axles in both front and rear ?
2. Is this true for one with and without an 'adventure' package?
3. For H3 up to 2008, the front axle is aluminum. Is it also a DANA44?
4. How diffucult is it to replace the aluminum axle with a cast iron one?
5. Is there a problem fitting a front diff lock when the axle is aluminum? (eaton for example)

1. No. Front axle is GM IFS 7.6, rear is Solid GM 8.5 - Front is comparable in size to DANA 30, the rear maybe 44 not sure.

4. Simple. You need to get the correct part. Unbolt the half shafts and the front drive shaft. Unbolt the differential and replace with the cast iron one.
5. Yes and no. You can fit it, but many members face problems with the aluminum diff blowing up in stock form (a locker may or may not add stress, someone else with relevant experience can answer that)
