Autostart not working, unable unlock car manually

charge the batt and tighten the conn.


call the guy who installed the starter.


did you put oil in and use a HOT key?

can you see inside the windows? door locks levers tilted away from the door panels? The battery could be to weak to start the vehicle, however not to weak to unlock the doors. Could just be frozen jambs.. Did you try to open all of the doors?

The locks are still fully engaged. I would rather not call a locksmith, but it seems that's what I'll have to do.

I'm serious. A friend of mine said he could try to Jimmy it open then try to jump it.

It is possible that the lock cylinder in the door is so corroded it will not turn, it does happen with vehicles that use remote entry all the time and nobody ever actually use the key for years. I always thought it would have been a good idea to have more than one key lock in case the one and only is stuck, like one for the back door.

I checked mine today, my key still works and I squirted some lube in there too for good measure. I have probably used my key to open the driver door less than 5 times in almost 7 years.
