Default automatic high beam dimmer

first test just done during daylight works good. its so very simple, just 4 parts!! a cds cell,(light sensor),a transistor,a rheostat, and the forth an extra resistor just for safety.

very basic, it turns hi on when dark, then turns hi off when light hits the cell. the rheostat gives adjustment ,to be tested tonight. another part may be added to provide a delayed turn on.
it just connects to the point where the hi/lo switch goes to ground a wire to the bcm.
fun stuff.

ill get pix if there is interest.

Default not yet

its not right yet. when I did day test I covered it , dark, and adjusted it to come on,hi. then held it to the light out the window and it went lo. looked good.

at night I adjusted it dark so it just came on hi, then pointed to a street light nearby and it would not go lo till I adjusted it,,,not good. could not get it on/off with no adjustment change, not good.
I wont try it on the road or people will think im crazy!! so its back to work trying a better sensor.

??
