Default Attention all SMA light bar owners.

Has anyone replaced a bulb yet? One of my bulbs is dimmer than the other 3. The bulb itself is cloudy. I haven't played with it yet other than take the light out from the bar. Does anyone know how the access the bulb? Also the lights are suppose to be piaa 2100s but I don't think they are. Nowhere does the light say piaa and the housing looks nothing like the pictures of the 2100s I've seen on the net. From the front the lens looks like it could be a 2100 but the back part that is tucked into the bar looks really different. Anyone know anything about this?

I did get mine from a dealer but it was through an ebay action. It looks the same as others on the board so I know the lights weren't switched out. I have to do some more investigating. I'll have to see if the dimension of the light are the same as the ones posted on piaa's website.

Well I measure the lights and compared them to the dimension on piaa's website for the 2100s and the SMAs are too small. The piaas are suppose to be 4.75" inches wide and ours are like 4" from the metal case, so the lights are even a tad smaller. The height is pretty close but the depth is way off too. I think SMA lied. Hmmm? Anyone else have anything to say about this?

One reason SMA is no more????

Please do research a replacement bulb, post what you find out, lots of our members have those SMA bars, and you still see one once in a while on ebay.
Thanks

Once I take it apart Ill get a better idea. It should still use a H3 bulb. We'll see.

Ok here is something I noticed that is kind of interesting. My SMA light bar as well as some other on this forum have a cylindrical cross bar that houses the lights. But looking at photos of two product trucks, one being a blue SMA H3 and other orange H3 by Predator, have a flat cross bar. Both say they have the SMA light bar. I wonder if at some point SMA switched designs and the lights but never updated the retailers.
