ARB rear diff cover

ARB rear diff cover
Been lookin for a rear differential cover for my 07 h3 since I crawled under there and seen all the scrapes on my rear diff. It definitely scared me. Don't want major damage to happen on a trail. I was lookin at the purple cranium spider diff cover but came across the ARB one. Looks like it will be better protection and something about it being bright red just looks really freakin cool to me. When I search for it it says it is for the Dana 44 axle. Is this the right model for my h3? Anyone running this diff cover? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Trail Duty has a differential cover for our H3s that looks a bit beefier. Here's the link...

Here is one also: Not "cast aluminum" but thick 1/4" PLATE 304 Stainless Steel. Won't rust and will out last your H3!
Expensive, but you get what you pay for!

I did some searching, the cover we'd all be looking for is a GM 10 bolt 8.5" by the looks of it, so it's not limited to the H3s. Here's a few I found. The clear one is interesting but I'd seriously put on one of those purple cranium shields around it. I like the Moser one myself, it has and incredibly thick flange and looks like it'd take a beating. The separate drain and fill plug is a bonus too.

So if the cover does not have a fill plug it will not work, and if the fill plug is at the wrong level, be very carefull about your assembled level. Aluminum and off road obstacles don't typically do well together either.

i'll make it work, i'm not a hardcore off-roader so i don't forsee any problems. the flange looks like it's 1/2 thick which is prob just as strong if not stronger than the factory steel one. ill just make sure it doesn't overhang the housing.

I also found a Rockcrusher 11000 dif cover with built in shielding. It's cast steel and appears to be made for a GM 10 bolt pattern, although there are no pics of it and it doesn't say anything about an 8.5" gear. I'm sending some emails to find out some specifics. From the looks of the other covers they make it should stand up to abuse, and it has a lifetime warranty. If I find this one fits I may opt for it and turf the other one on ebay.
