April 2014 HUMMER Run - Moab, UT
April 21st thru the 25th, 2014
The annual April Black Sheep Hummer Squadron run will be April 21 - 25.
Who or what is the Black Sheep Hummer Squadron? Join us and you will find out! Everyone is welcome.
We have HUMMER owners from California, Colorado, Texas, Arizona, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Iowa so far.
Come early stay late, camp out or stay at one of the many hotels in Moab. Moab has lots of lodging options - Motel 6 is usually the top option as it is clean, recently remodeled, accepts pets, affordable and nicer than you'd expect from a Motel 6. Many campgrounds in town for tents, RV/Trailers and cabins.
We meet every morning at around 9 AM to start the day of wheeling and plan the day's trail(s) the evening before around a big bonfire. It's the week after Easter Jeep Safari so come early if you want to see the vendors and craziness of E.J.S. Everyone is welcome, heeps, yotas, rovers, chebys, or whatever else you're rollin in. All skill levels welcome, pet and kid friendly & lots of spotters and experienced wheelers.
Please be fueled up, have your sandwich for the day and your camera's batteries topped off. UCP and rocker protection are recommended, as are good tires. You should carry the most basic spares for your vehicle, which does vary by vehicle and you should have the basic tools for those repairs, including any specialty tools that you may need, like a 36mm socket for the H3 axle shaft. You don't need to bring your entire shop as there are a lot of others to lend a hand and to lend a tool.
Trails will vary from mild to wild and sometimes the group splits up accordingly. Everyone is welcome! Feel free to send me a PM for more details.
