OK I lied to you. The 305/70's are .2" taller than a 285/75 and closer to a true 33. They are also .8" wider (almost an inch). I am getting a set of Hankook Dynapro 305/70/16's tomorrow morning. Rolled one up next to my stock tires yesterday and they look huge in comparison. They are 1.5 inches taller and wider than a stock 265/75. Here's what the tires look like...
Pics of them on my Hummer coming soon!

I have been running 305/70R16 Mickey Thompson MTZs for a long time. Still 33", but an inch wider than 285s..... and, they are MADE IN THE USA!
I go everywhere the guys with 35s go.
The chances of me putting Japanese or Korean crap on my truck are........ NOT.

ouch.. hankook dynapro's. Are those the at-m's? Because I have a buddy with 33" hankook dynapro mt-r's and they are NOT good offroad. But they last forever!

They're actually AT/M's. All-Terrains with an aggressive tread and sidewall. They fit my daily driving pattern. I pretty much never go offroad unless I'm just playing around with some friends so I don't need a mud terrain that's going to wear down quick. These come with a 50,000 mile warranty so I'm cool with that. They look more aggressive to me than the Nitto Terra Grapplers, which was another tire on my list. Getting a really good deal on them so I figured why not.

Oops I edited my post; I meant at-m's not mtr's lol.
The nitto's would have ran circles around the dynapro's offroad; not sure about longevity though. I do know that my buddy's dynapro's are wearing very nicely, even with all the offroading we do.

They sure look a great tires but I wonder if they look good with a size 22 wheels? Would they look as good?

That's good to know they're wearing well. I plan to rotate mine every oil change (4-5k with synthetic). I'm going to switch it over to synthetic this week, crank the torsion bars, and put on new brake pads. I just returned home from a weekend 500 mile round trip so I did a lot of highway driving on the new tires. They are as quiet as the stock ones were. They ride a little stiffer, but you can expect that from a tire that's 1.5 inches taller and wider. I'm very happy with my purchase! $700 out the door for 305/70's. The 285/75's I ordered were on backorder so I got the upgrade for the same price!

holyballs 35's for 700$ out the door is great man. Keep the board posted to how those Dynapro's handle offroad; I know on my buddies f150 they suck, but maybe under an already-capable HUMMER w/ awesome offroad prowess they will be different.
