I"m looking into putting a dual battery set up under the hood in my 2004 H2 has anyone seen this done?

 

I'm sure it can be done. I have two batteries in my H3 but one is in the back with my subs, I assume you're talking about under the hood. I'm sure it would be easy to fab up a tray.

I'm sure with the tools I have access to I could whip something like that up in no time. I haven't seen under the hood of an H2 in awhile, but you may even be able to mod the existing tray and make it work and only have to figure out a way to hold them in place.

I wouldn't worry about needing to separate them with a relay or switch, as long as they're both the same kind of battery and new, you can hook them right up together. Now if you want one to run something when the truck is off, you would need an isolator, check out my thread in this forum to see what I did.
