Just curious of how many people pull a popup? Were thinking about buying one. As a whole we love camping, but a recent back surgery, and just plain getting older I kinda want a bed and place to get out of the elements. Thoughts on pop-ups please.

 

Have you looked at the A-frames? If you're looking for something smaller and no canvas to jerk around with--those A-frames are pretty slick. They're supposed to open in something like 30 seconds.
I'd say with your back, even with something small you definitely want an electric tongue jack and possibly electric stabilizers.
We've got a 28ft travel trailer and the electric jack was the first thing I did; screw cranking that thing up and down. I've finally got my system down to use a drill with an adaptor for the stabilizer jacks, almost threw my back out this summer learning all the tricks to unhitch and set up with as minimal work as possible.
Good luck and let us know what you decide on. I'd definately rethink a simple pop-up though unless budget absolutely calls for it.
