Default Anyone change the front wiper motor on your H3?

I have had some wiper symtoms that seem to be common. I am just going to replace the motor before winter gets here.

Does anyone know how to get to the front wiper motor?

I had to change the wiper linkage on mine, and the motor is attached to the linkage, so I guess it would be the same thing. Wasnt to bad. Had to remove the two imitation "air intake" covers, then the two wiper arms. Then removed the painted part of the cowl, then the black plastic cowl thats under the painted one. also had to remove the rubber seal/gasket/trim piece that seals the hood.
Two notes: The painted part of the cowl was really hard to get off. It felt like it was going to break before the clips let go, but it didnt. Second was the wiper linkage/motor assy was kind of tricky to get out of the cavity that it sits in. Patience was the key here. Once you angle it just the right way..it comes out.
Good luck!

Did the black plastic cowel come out easy? Did you use GM factory parts or is their an aftermarket?

The black part came out fairly easy. Its held in place by those little black push clips. Once those are removed it just lifts right off. Like I said before..the painted part was the tough one. I used OEM factory GM parts. The dealer had it the day after I ordered it. The reason I replaced it was my passenger side wiper stopped working. The linkage has these white plastic ball and socket joints that everything pivots on. One of them popped off and broke the plastic "socket"
