Thanks. When I saw the metal start to bend, I backed off. No damage done. That's the last thing I need.

The only pickle forks in stock are too long & began to mushroom.

I'm just going to put it off & order something off amazon.
I was thinking of getting this air hammer since it's an exucse to buy one:
Ingersoll Rand Air Hammer 114GQC - Power Hammer Drills - Amazon.com

And this pickle fork kit:
http://www.amazon.com/Neiko-Tools-5-...DN0RQGV9SVPVQM

I never imagined this would become such a pain in the @$$. There's absolutely no room for any pickle forks I put pick up locally. The centerlink is angled, so there's just no where to place the fork without it running into some part of the drive train or suspension.

I bought a pickle form specifically for this. Got it at O'Reillys.

I can't recall. I'm in Ukraine right now so can't look but I'll see if I can find it online.

Performance Tool W1204P - Tie Rod Separator | O'Reilly Auto Parts

This is what I got. Has a different name but looks like pickle fork to me so I call it as such

One way to avoid that, buy quality tools....very simple...

Mine looks to be the same size.
How in the hell did you get it to fit?
I spent an hour under there & there's not one usable angle that isn't blocked.
