OH OK! So basically the CAP shorted out and all the power stored in it discharged and that's what caused everything to fry? I gotcha. At least you are OK so who cares about the other stuff. Your lives can't be replaced but that stuff can. I'm glad you ok !

Anyone driving their car, full of smoke, at 100mph has got to have brain issues.

Maybe a small fire
extinguisher would be a good idea for our cars? I've got a first aid kit.

HumV need those drop down oxygen masks like the airlines use.

That's funny

Maybe we should request that as an option!

I bought one of those First Alert fire extinguishers for the H3 since it's required when you go off-roading, but I feel safer knowing it's in there.

First off, glad you are ok. This post brings up a serious issue....when we go off roading FOR SURE YOU SHOULD HAVE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER, and they are so cheap you should have one on board just in case while in town. Boy I sound like Captain Saftey! I used to live next door to the Fire Chief, and he harrassed me until Igot one, one of the small first alert type. GM sells one....Chrome too. Anybody found a good interior mounting place for these? Mine is in the side compartment in the back, but that could be slow to get to if you need it ASAP.

How about the back of the console or even the netting behind the front seats?
