I have a 06 H3 with 86,000 on it yesterday driving home
my raido started go on an off right after that all my lights on my gauges flashed on then went off never died no check engine light got home checked my battery 12.8v started it up running 14.1v once it idles it acts like its
going to die the volts drop to 12.3 i can turn the the ac on it jumps back up
to 14.1v as long as the ac is on it never drops read somewhere the computer
controls the alternator thinking back about the ac when i turn it on the computer tells the alternator there is a load on it i dont now where to start on this one the alternator or the pcm ?

 

ez stuff first. clean ,tighten the batt conn. swap batt. (might sound dumb,but ez test!)

mine goes to 15 volts for a fews min on startup, drops to 14+-

check connections at alt

 

New battery an terminals 10-28-11

 

well lets see, everything was ok for 5 yrs then he changed the BATT,,,hmmm,,!!!

 

hmmm thats what i said.

 

at this point id rather have a bad new batt!!

yea could be the alternator... doubt that its the PCM...
