Alpha - "4 Wheeler of the Year"
Los Angeles, CA, October 24, 2007--Four Wheeler magazine has named the 2008 Hummer H3 Alpha the winner of its coveted “Four Wheeler of the Year” award. The week-long competition has been held annually since 1974, and this year marks GM Hummer division’s first-ever win.
The 2008 competitors’ list included six new four-wheel-drive sport-utility vehicles: the H3 Alpha and the full-size Hummer H2, the Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee CRD, the Nissan Pathfinder, and the Toyota Land Cruiser. To qualify, each vehicle must be entirely new, or sport substantial mechanical revisions from a previous model year, in addition to using a two-speed transfer case.
