Default Aftermarket wheels - and leasing... ?

I'm looking at buying an H3 in the next day or so. I'm fairly determined to get aftermarket wheels of some sort. Nothing crazy, just something different than stock. I'm also planning to lease this thing for 39 months with GMAC.

The dealer is offering aftermarket wheel kits for about $4,000!!! I know I can buy the same quality wheels and tires (probably the same damn things) for $1500-2000 directly at 4 Wheel Parts.

I hate to pay the dealer twice what they should get, even if it is burried in the lease. On the other hand, if I buy them myself aftermarket, I wind up with two sets of wheels and tires.

How have you guys handled this?

I bought my new rims and 35" mudders then put the stockers in storage until the lease is over. When the lease is up I'll swap the brand new stockers back on and swap my aftermarket rims/tires onto my new hummer....or sell em.

DON'T GET THEM FROM THE DEALER!!!![:@]

Just keep your OEM one's to put back on when you return the Rig!!

You can always keep the aftermarket ones for your next vehicle or eBay them!!

Yup! Keep the stocks and buy the aftermarket ones yourself.

You can go up to a 33" tire on the stock rims and they will take it back like that under the lease, so you could sell your OEM rubber. But if you buy rims, you need to return the car with the original rims and tires.

Do your 35's fit under stock suspension (and without a body lift?) What size wheels are those?

Beautiful ride in your autosig, by the way....

Do you have more pictures you can share? It looks like those 35's fill up the wheel wells just right. I'd like to see a side shot.

What size wheels did you use?

Here are a few photos of my '07 Slate Blue H3 with 315/75-16 BFG M/T on stoack wheels. None are great side shots, but you can get an idea of what 35s look like on an H3.

my rims are 17x8.5's with an offset of +12 which will make them stick out some from the fender but also makes the truck track better and look much better IMO.
