I tried the compressed air and it seems to have helped for now. I am going to run it and see if it comes back. If it does I am going to have it replaced. I used my air compressor to push heavy air through it.

I just went through all of this. that little fan is what makes the noice. $47.84 and 15 minutes to pull the headliner down to replace will fix that issue. That does have a fan/ sensor in there for the climate control. I pulled that out and it looked like someone filled it up with dirt.

I cranked the compressor up to 120psi and used my air gun right on it. The noise is still there. At least I know what is now. I just put the Gobi roof rack on, so I need to drop the headliner to wire in my new lights anyway. I'll just snag a new fan and replace it while I've already got it apart.
