I am going to go to the GMC place tomorrow to get them to do a oil change. One of my friends told me I need to get them to "Check" the Catalytic Converter and the air intake relay. How do I say it so they replace it? I also have to get the recall on the hood lover to be changed. Is there anything else you suggest me do? I am 16 and this is my first time to take my car to get the oil changed. The guy at the dealership said the other guy maintained it good, I just hope there are no surprises tomorrow.

 

I am a little confused as to what you're asking here. It sounds to me your buddy may be messing with you. The cat converter is part of the exhaust and smog system. Do you have a check engine light on or are experiencing any problems with throttle response or idle? And the "air intake relay," to pull an old Mustang word out, is he referring to your MAF? Again any issues with get up and go or idle?
