I been having problem with my 4wd not working
you know the old flashing light on switch for couple of seconds and then turn off and nothing happend

well I did change the 4wd switch for a new one, also change the tranfercase motor for a new one. and them I get a new tranfer caase module. no change

but the abs and check brake system message is on my dash

my mecanic just told me that I have to fix the abs module and that is what keeping my 4wd from working


is this true. I just what to hear some opinions from all of you. since the abs module is a lot of money
please advice

 

I'm in the process of fixing the ABS sensor (along with wheel hub assembly replacement).

I can shift from AWD to 4HI lock to 4LO lock while having a bad sensor.
The ABS sensor is $40 to $50. It's most likely 2 hours worth of work & can be done with basic tools. The ABS sensor requires an allen key to remove (very easy). There are a lot of youtube videos on how to fix replace the sensor.
