Hi All.....

I wanted to install 37" Goodyear Wrangler w/kevlar or BF Goodrich mt 2's on my 2004 h2, the 4x4 shops around here say it needs a 6" lift kit by Fabtech, or it will rub frame, iv seen some h2 drivers put these on there trucks, did you need a lift kit, and/or hows it work with out a kit???

Due you have to re-set coumputer for new tire size???

I do 80% highway and 20% light off-road

Thank you....Rick

2004 H2/leveled/Springs in rear w/firestone air bags.....for hauling 24ft boat..

They wouldn't fit my 04, but alot of other have fit them fine w/ minor rubbing. There is some unknow variable on the H2s where those tires fit some and not others.

You just need to try it, or find an 8 lug rig w/ that size to test fit.

37" fits perfectly on my h2's with just a little rubbing, no lift needed.

37"x12.5"x17" Goodyear MT/R's with no lift, rear air suspension/no adjustments and 2 turns on the factory keys. No rubbing what-so-ever...

The guys at your 4x4 shop have been smoking wacky weed on their lunch break (or trying to sell you a lift kit)...

My understanding of a 6" Fab Tech kit is about the same results as a 4" Rancho kit--regardless, if I were to put a lift like that on my deuce, I'd be looking at 38" or 39" tires.
37's should fit on your ride no lift, or t-bar crank or new indexers at most (indexers should be about $200).
The guys at the 4x4 shop are trying to sell an expensive lift kit and even more expensive labor to put it on. Then when they are putting the kit on, they're going to tell you that you need new tie rods, idler and pitman arms etc. and keep reeling in the big fish until you're check book catches fire and your kids are sweeping floors in their shop until they're 29 to pay off the debt!
Quick---find another shop and never go back to that one!

^^^^ Yea, I was forced to buy a 6" after the wheel/tire combo I bought wouldn't fit. If I would of know I was getting a lift, would of gone straight to 38-40".

Nice lookin' truck. Thanks for the preview of what mine "wants" to look like. BTW, is that a stock brush guard with the top rail cut off?

As for tires, I really plan on going with 37's. So thanks for the thread!

At one point there were 20+ different brushguards on the market. Single tier, double tier is what your noticing there.

Nice Truck, thanks for the picture....Do you tires hum badly, i wanted a more agressive tire but also like to hear the Radio, i have BFG KO on it now (stock) with hardly any noise, more wind noise with light bar than anything else at 75-80 MPH.......

Thanks for the lift advice, i called Ideal Automoitve 4x4 they said it would $3,800+ tax 6% to install lift kit 6 inch, $400.00 to reset coumputer to run larger tires than stock..and $1,950.00 for 4/37x12.5.17 BFG MT2 tires, balanced and installed......

I went to a BFG/Goodyear store and got the same tires w/Road hazzard for $1,720.00 installed and balanced.........Goodyear MT/R were $56.00 more per tire....

Hows the Tire ware on your goodyear MT/R s, i avarge about 45,000 miles on these and get new ones at 6/32s tread life,to be safe....

Thank you......Rick

This is nice to see cause I went to a tire place today and they told me the 315s were all I could go. I only want 35s and wasn't sure after what I was told. Thank you.
