Default 35's rub on articulation. What did I do wrong?

Hello to all. Somewhat new to Hummers but not to the forum community of offroaders and garage mechanics. I recently picked up my first H3 a month and a half ago and did a lot of research on tire selection before finally purchasing. My H3 came with 18's and 33's but looked too mall rat for what I wanted so I traded them out for 315/75/R16's on aluminum rims with 4.5" backspacing. Figured with everything I have read I'd be good, especially with the backspacing. Unfortunately Im rubbing on the inner fenders when the wheel is turned under articulation. I have the torsion bars cranked 4 turns on the passenger side and 4.5 on the driver and just had an alignment. Any suggestions? Did this setup not work due to not using stock rims?

Here's some pictures of my setup:

Even with a wheel with correct backspacing you will get some rub at full lock with 35" tires. You can trying adjusting the degree of leveling and find the sweet spot where there is the least amount of rub. Many people have commented that 23.25" after torsion bar adjustment seems to provide the least amount of rub for many wheel/tire combinations.

I think it has more to do with the backspacing.
OEM 16" wheels have 5.75 backspace which would bring the tire into the wheel well more.
Looks like it rubs because of the 4.50 backspace.

315's will rub on the swaybar even with the correct backspace, but only on full steering lock.

I wouldn't mind the rubbing on sway bars. S

So I may have to go back to the stock rims for better offroad use. Sound about right?

stock wheels would have the proper backspacing and minimal rubbing. So the rims you currently have rub at max flex and steering lock? Or only at steering lock?

From the pictures shown, it looks like his tires are rubbing on the rear of the fender well with the wheel not even at full turning lock. I think it's because they stick out too far.
That rubbing will just be worse offroad.

I have no issues with it rubbing with the steering locked to either side or when I'm doing normal driving. It's just during articulation.

This the reason I am going back to 33's. at one time I was the only only having this problem but it looks apparent that there are more. Mine only grabs the right back front fender on my 08 H3 Alpha. I had the thing aligned several times but they cannot get enough camber alignment out of that wheel and it actually appears to set back further than the left front.
