Which brand makes a 35" tire with a good hummimg sound without getting super swampers or anything crazy like that?
I would say Toyo O/C MT's.

BFG KM's gave a good hum on my Bronco - what I could hear over the headers and dual exhaust, lol!

Looks like we're leaning towards the Hankook Dynapro MT in 295/75 16, the wife can get get a good deal through her work... I think that's a good compromise between too big and too small... Plus they have ROWL, which we like white letters, (being from the East coast and all, lol) and some mean looking sidewalls.

one problem with them...there is very minimal lug siping...makes for a bad wet./icy ride. Same with BF mt's...no siping and terrible wet traction. THe dynpro's did score well in off road magazines shoot-out. but they also noted the wet road traction issue.

Yeah, I noticed that, but I've had mud tires w/o siping before, and never had any problems. In all the customer reviews I've read so far, nobody has mentioned wet traction issues. I tend to not read magazine reviews, because (at least with Mustang parts) theytend to skateoveranything negetive.

UPDATE: The 295/75 Hankook's are now on order. Everything I read on them was good, so we'll see. Got them from Discount, luckily I was able to switch the 315's before they went out. Ipaid $144 per tire shipped (5% off eBay sale, plus a $100 credit, from when they screwed up my Mustang rims).I ordered 4, and will get the 5th one just before my 3k tire rotate/oil change...

Thanks again for the help guys...

just curious....why did you go away from the 35" and go smaller?

BTW....here is what your hummer will look like with the hankook mt's...these are 35"

they performed very very well on the h3 according to the article..

We went with the 34's (I don't know why they call 295's 33's - they're 1" smaller than 315's), basicallybecause the wife chickened out... I coulda talked her into it, but if she didn't like it, I never woulda heard the end of it.Plus she's happy the 295's are just slightly bigger than the adventure package, so she's got the warm and fuzzies.

Thanks for the link, I actually read that article yesterday...
