Default 3.5" MAF

Anybody know one that will work. I tried a Silverado with the 5.3, but the plugs don't match up.

Oh, and the junk yard I went to is dumb, you can't walk around. There's a parts desk that you have to tell them what you want.

I'm just trying to open up the tube some. I don't understand only running 3" at the MAF if you can run 3.5" into the TB.

Alright, now I got ya. I know what ya mean. The inlet snorkel to the Air Filter Box is only 2.73", that is why I replaced it. The MAFs for the I5 are what I would call dedicated. You would have to redo from scratch, reconnect/rewire the connection ofyour custom MAF, and then reprogram the PCM. Lots of work and fiddling for a
de minimus gain?

I have not checked every possible MAF that may be out there, so it may be possible? Good luck brud.

The 3" MAF probably acts as a venturi. Your ECM may get false readings resulting in an inaccurate fuel air ratio if you switch. These engineers do things for a reason... most of the time.

More air more = more fuel= morepower = lessmpg.

Thats why theres a restriction on the airbox
