Nitrogen won't make a difference in mileage. Advantage of nitrogen is that it's a larger molecule so your tires will lose pressure more slowly due to leakage.

I routinely get 18.5-ish around town (40-45 mph speed limits, not too many stops) and about the same on the highway (not surprising, since, aerodynamically speaking, I'm driving a brick). I'm driving an '08 H3, 3.7, 5 speed. Using my ScanGauge, I've found that the sweet spot is around 45mph. A good long ride at that speed averages just over 22mpg. But there ain't no way in hell I'm going to drive 45mph on the Interstate.
