I have a new 2010 H3 SUV model. I want to get chrome nerf bars,a chrome fuel door, and chrome handles. My question is does any of the chrome nerf bars from previous years H3 (2007 - 2010) fit the 2010 model or did somethings change based on the years? The same question goes for the fuel door and handles.

I tried looking at GM Parts Direct in their catalog but that wasn't very straightforward. Actually I am getting conflicting info b/c the dealer has a web site that lets you select parts for your truck based on the VIN or Year / Model number. For all years it has the same part number for each item but the GM Part Direct catalog is saying different parts for different years. But there is a preface when you use their catalog that all the infomration isn't accuracte and you must check w/them via email before placing an order.

Any help would be appreciated.

For all the stuff you mentioned, all the 3s are the same.

If you have black handles/mirrors, look to sell yours after, they are much more popular than the chrome stuff. In fact, you could probably work a trade through the forums in short order.

You can find it all on ebay.

 

Thanks so much. I have a black H3 so having all black accessories looks a little to black for me. If I had another color I would probably keep them, but I think the truck needs a little contrast to keep things interesting. I'm only doing the fuel door, handles, and nerf bars (and maybe the mirrors), don't want to much bling.

As Doc said, you'll probably be able to work out swaps for everything EXCEPT the fuel filler door. The black cap surround that comes with your truck would have to be removed, and the chrome door installed (still utilizing the black cap). There's no directly interchangeable OEM part for that. There's threads on this forum with good install instructions. I added a chrome door to mine, and the best price for the OEM version, that I was able to find was about $145. Good luck!

 

I can make you a good deal on a brand new set of H3 nerf bars and rocker bars, Manik brand. I sold a set to songman he can send a photo of what they look like mounted.

Price would depend on where I would have to ship them to. probably somewhere around $225 total.

 

Yep, the bars Dean (dinov) sold me are nice. I need to adjust them a little bit but I like how they look, especially having both the nerf bars and the rocker bars. I'll gladly recommend buying from Dean. These pictures were made right after my hood vent blew off in a car wash. Luckily, the recall hadn't been done yet on mine and the dealer replaced the vent for free.

 

jvorpahl, where are you located? If you are anywhere near MI I have a set in the attic, only have 50 miles on them and are collecting dust.

Anyway, thanks for the offer Dinov but I'm really looking for the GM ones only but if things don't go well I'll let you know right away (actually I'll let you know either way - if I buy GM ones or decide to go w/the Mankin ones). Also I'm debating if I want the rocker bars or not. I'll let you know in the next week what I decided on those.

Tainter, I'm in MN, so not too far away. Are the nerf bars the GM ones? If so, how much do you want for them w/shipping (if possible for you to calculate)?

When I bought mine from Dean, I actually bought two sets. One set was the Manik ones that you see on my Hummer. The other set were GM. The only difference was that the end of the bar is slightly different and the ones I used say Manik on the rubber step. All the mounts and everything are the same. I passed the GM set on to another friend of mine who was looking for a set.

Just FYI. I understand looking for factory ones.
