2009 H3 Front Locker?

RE: 2009 H3 Front Locker?
With your Alpha you should allready have the cast iron housing so you just need to add the 09 front locker and switches and dash plateetc.
My guess would be $1,000 part and labor at a dealer.
Checkoutsome of the "other" forums. There is a thread on a front locker upgradethat includes the info and part numberon a complete front cast iron housing with diff and locker.. ready to bolt in.

Rumor...
The part number is 25892846 and it belongs to the front, cast iron carrier housing out of an 09 H3 (3.7L) with the front locker. It is complete without CV's so it should bolt right in. The price is 1866.00.

I just got off the phone with my Hummer Dealer/Service center & he said that the retofit was pretty involved....., something about having to drill the housing or something????
Anyone know what he's refuring to?? Maybe for a servo or something??

Was he talking about putting a locker in your existing housing or putting in a new complete housing?
I know when adding an ARB locker to a diff you have drill/tap a hole to allow for the locker air line so I would think it would be similar when adding an e-locker soyou would need a hole for the wiring

RE: 2009 H3 Front Locker?
I would think they would be using my existing housing....., they haven't done a 09' front locker to 08' retrofit yet & they sounded a little confused!!
When I first asked about the retrofit....., they said "Oh.., eh..., well..., wedon't do that" So I asked them "If not a Hummer Service center...., then who??"
"You don't do that...., or you haven't done that yet?"
That seemed to get the ball rolling a bit!
The Dealer is Doug's Lynnwood Cadilic/Hummer in Lynnwood, Washington (State)

Make sure you can get the locker carrier assembly from your Hummer dealer.. Go across the bay to Bremerton and talk with Dave at Northridge 4x4 and see if he can help you out with the install. He's primarily a Jeep guy, but a setting up a locker in a Jeep can't be much different than setting it up in a H3..

Tell him a friend of Mark Opinoski from the Mid-South Jeep Club in Memphis sent you to see him..
