I've got a GPS to help me go where I'm uncertain, it's a portable one that I use on my job that takes me to all corners of this fine country.
Wifey drives the Hummer when I'm not in it and I LIKE the idea that if she crashes, Onstar is there to help, if she breaks down likewise... My wife has medical issues and it's a comfort to me to know that she's got an extra layer of protection/help. It ain't cheap but crap.... neither was my Hummer! it's a small price to pay for a piece of mind I don't find in non OnStar equipped rides. I too find that the OnStar phone has a whole lot more signal strength than either of our cell phones. Found that out last spring when we took the H3 to Moab. I could get connections on the Hummer fone when both cell phones had no signal across northwest Tx, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and Utah.
