impy you don't really think that the all knowing service tech at the weaselship would be wrong about something do you? Or worse yet tell an unsuspecting customer that he needed a $87.00 computer chip key when a $2.00 Ace hardware key would work just as welldo you??? LOL. Bet that would have been the easiest $85.00 bucks the tech ever pocketed.

 

ain't dat the truth....I've seen some bad chit in my years working at dealerships.

 

I tried car sales for short time (very short time! about 6 months). Wasn't that I couldn't sell, I just felt like crap ripping people off. I sold Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep in 97. One example was to try get people to buy the "smokers package" for something like an extra $90. The only thing that you got with it was a stupid little cup that fit into one of the cup holders.

 

there was a package like that for the h3 in 06 too...don't know if they still have it or not.

 

i had to buy one off ebay for 6-10 bucks,then just have it cut.there wasnt a place in town at all that even had one,so i bought a gmc key,these are the only 2 keys that are cut backwards from everyother key out there

I sell the Genuine Hummer non coded key for 19.50 + shipping. They do list a coded key in the computer for 08 as well. I just ran my VIN# through the system and it says it doesn't have it. Maybe they did make some with it.

I jsut got back from the dealer. Theyprogrammed a second key fob that the salesman gave me and cut me another key to go on it. Price: $0. A big shout out to Jerry Seiner Hummer in South Jordan, Utah.
