Default 2004 interior swap taken from 2008 h2

Would it even be possible to take the interior dash, door pannels, and center console from a 2008 h2 and bolt them into an 04 h2. I want to see if its even possible bofore i fathom the idea of doing it. I wouldnt think they would re-enginer the factory bolt and screw setup for the 08 upgraded interior but i may be wrong.

man that sounds like alot of work. you would be better off in my opinion to buy a used 08 you not only get the interior, you get the 2nd and 3rd row AC vents for passengers, you get better seats, and perhaps most importantly you get the new engine with 75 more horsepower and a 6 speed transmission. You can buy them used for cheap. Plus your interior wont rattle your spine.

I like the looks of the 2007 dash better but the 2008 door panels looks nice. I bet a swap would be a major undertaking.

Default Swap

So did anyone ever find out? I want to know the exact same question. I myself would think it would be possible. I got too good of a deal on my 04, and have too much invested, but wouldn't mind spending a few grand to do the swap. I'm sure I could do it myself, but want to make sure its possible.

The last 3/4 mile to my house is a very bumpy dirt road and my 2004 H2 has a very quiet interior. When I bought it at 31,000 miles there was a rattle under the center console and when the dealer pulled it to repair the shift wire he said that some of the retaining clips were missing....probably left out by someone doing a previous repair. Has been very quiet ever since...now have 52,000 mi on it.

Was it difficult at all? I've had the entire inside of my h2 apart and back together besides the actual dash itself. Where did you find the panels?
