2004 H2 Air Suspension Help
I have a 2004 H2 with about 90K miles on it. Had to replace the transmission earlier this year, had a hellish brake job (about 2K-the lines rusted and leaked out), and now I'm getting the "service air suspension" errors. It is riding rough and I've done enough reading that I know I'm going to have to replace the bags at a minimum and the compressor in the worst case. I don't want to go back to the dealer as I'm already $7500 in the car this year.
So I understand my choices would be get OEM stuff and have someone put it in (I can't do it myself--or to be more accurate I've never worked on cars so I'm afraid to) or do the conversion to springs.
I've heard going to springs is ok, but what does it do for resale value? Any thoughts would be great...thanks.

I see your point, but eventually I'll want to sell it, and since most people that want to buy these are people that are "enthusiasts" was just wondering whether that will matter to them or not.
Seems the more I read the more people advise to get rid of the air suspension. Looks like that's what I'm probably going to do.

Yea, '03 here too and I wouldn't trade mine for the world either. I've already knocked out all the above plus mirrors, hub bearings, radiator, catalytic converter, and a few other little things. When my air bags where done I looked everywhere and decided to just bite the bullet and replace them and have it all serviced. Feels like brand new driving it around now though, probably because most of it is.

I agree! I have a set of springs and shocks for sale off my low mile 06 for sale as I just had a fabtech lift installed!
