2003 H2 won't crank *vid*

@flyday58
That's actually the problem cause it doesn't blow straight away. After I've put in the new battery it took like 5 tries until it fried the fuse. Before that however it cranked so my guess is that it's the fuel pump itself or bad wiring which is causing a short circuit (but if it was the wiring im guesing the car should start either way). I'm having the car towed today to my mechanic to check the cables and the pump cause I really don't have the time to do it myself and I need my car ASAP.
I'll keep this thread updated for any of us who might run in to something similar in the future.
PS. thank you for the schematics I'll print them for the guy who will look into it.

Humtech's suggestion about unplugging the fuel pump, or even removing the pump relay and then seeing if the fuse blows is a good one. That fuse does feed power to the PCM and that may be bad, but I lean toward the fuel pump also.
I helped a friend change one on a Dodge Ram in Texas last month. When we got the tank down we found that ants had built a nest in the external part of the pump, shorting it out. That was a fun day, ants everywhere and no way to get away from them!

BIG update, I got my car yesterday from the mechanic. It took a lot of time to ship the new fuel pump over to Poland, there were some customs problems. Anyway I got the new pump (the old one looked like crap I'll post some pictures below) and there was a problem with the harness whitch was damaged thus blowing the fuse. The new pump runs great I'm back in my H2 and I couldn't be happier jumping into 2017.
And the new one
I think that the rotted pump was the culprit causing my "gross vapor leak" code because I'm not getting it anymore!
All the best in 2017 everyone!
