1st time 2007 Hummer H3 owner in Illinois
New owner of a 2007 H3. 80,000 miles. Thanks to finding this forum the first day I got it home, I found a pinhole leak in radiator and got dealership to replace at no cost the very next day at no additional cost to me. I have also:
1. Pulled and polished throttle body
2. Cleaned MAF sensor
3. Replaced spark plugs
4. Replaced front and rear differential fluids with 75/90 Royal Purple
5. Changed transfer case fluid with Dextron VI
6. Adjusted rear passenger door that had a click click to it
7. Had original satin finish alloy wheels and replaced with set of Hummer alloy chrome finish wheels I found on ebay.
8. Changed oil with Mobile 1 extended twice for good measure
Next to do...take to dealership for transmission flush, filter and gasket. Kind of don't want to try myself.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I love the new addition to the garage and I'd like to get many miles of fun out of the Boss! Thanks guys, love the forum!

Hello and Welcome to HF from MI.
Great list of maintance items done to your rig to prolong it's life. Might I suggest just dropping the pan, drain the fluid and replace the filter instead of the dreaded "flush". Check around and you will see why.
Also check the 3 front diff. mounts (left, right and lower) they can become worn. If left unattended they let the diff move around, not good.
NOW POST UP SOME PIX OF THAT 07 H3!

Thanks Tainter, think I might go ahead and do the trans as you suggested. Do I need to disconnect lines to radiator and drain too? Or is just changing whats in the pan good enough? I will search for the front differential mounts while I'm under the vehicle. Are they rubber mounts? Appreciate the heads up.

I would disconnect the lowest line on the radiator side. Can't remember which one that is (return or sending). You want to remove as much of the old fluid as you can without going through the "flush" process. There will still be some in the torque converter.

Hey Tainter, I checked the 3 front Differential mounts and all looks good, thinking about ordering the rubber and bushings you discussed in another thread. Do I need to just go ahead and swap out bushings now?

Well, I dropped tranny pan and changed gasket, filter and fluid. Drained trans lines at radiator as Tainter suggested. Used Royal Purple ATF Max. Trans fluid wasn't too bad shape. But there is a sense of security knowing it's been done. Cost me about an hour of my time. Then after I was all done I realized my dumb *** forgot to replace magnet at bottom of pan before closing it all up. Haha! I just stuck on the bottom outside of pan for now, I plan on replacing the pan with another with a drain plug real soon anyway...
