I will have had my H3 for a month now on 5/8 and I have just over 1,200 miles on it. With my past SUV I just waited for the 3,000 miles to get the oil changed, but I have seen on here that a lot of you have changed yours after 1,200 miles or so for the very first oil change. Do you guys recommend I change this now or can I wait for 3,000 miles?

It is a matter of old school preference with me..I did mine at 1000 miles, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to wait till 3000 miles either..The OIL CHANGE reminder will let you know at 7,500 miles on the DIC..So let your own habits be your guide.

 

Hi !

We just had our first oil change and it was well after 3,000 miles. We get an Onstar report showing us our oil life and recommended change, etc

May not be the absolute right thing to do, but we will go by this schedule in the future.

I changed mine at 1000, then at every 5000 with Mobil One.
